Section 7 – Definition of Cake

(1) For the purposes of this Act, Cake shall be understood to include, but is not limited to:

  • Cakes of any variety
  • Donuts
  • Slices
  • Muffins

(2) In cases where an offence is deemed aggravated, the definition of Cake shall be extended to include:

  • Krispy Kreme donuts (any variety)
  • Cream-filled cakes
  • Homemade or freshly baked cakes

(3) Where appropriate, Cake may be substituted with a suitable alternative treat sourced from a holiday or travel destination, provided such substitution meets or exceeds the minimum standard outlined in subsection (4).

(4) The minimum acceptable standard of Cake for any penalty imposed under this Act is the equivalent of one box of Krispy Kreme original glazed donuts, or any quantity and quality of alternative confectionery, at the discretion of the receiving team.

Section 8 – Application of Penalties

(1) Any offence committed by an officer holding the rank of Inspector or above shall be considered aggravated by default, irrespective of the specific offence details.

(2) Cake fines must be of sufficient quantity and quality to ensure that all members of the officer’s immediate team are able to partake in a generous serving.

(3) Should the Cake fine provided be found to be:

  • Of insufficient quantity; or
  • Of inadequate quality;

it shall be considered unpaid, and the offender must re-submit an appropriate penalty at the earliest available opportunity.
